The Websense Enterprise^® URL Database contains more than 6 million site postings, representing more than 1.1 billion Web pages. These sites are organized into one of 80+ categories, allowing for greater customization of your organization's Internet policy. The database includes sites in 52 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese. An average of 25,000 additional sites are posted every week.

How are the Websense Enterprise^® Databases developed and maintained?

Our proprietary software mines and classifies Web sites and desktop applications into different categories. All URLs, applications or protocols not categorized in this way are evauated by qualified Internet analysts for proper categorization and continually checked for accuracy.

Websense Enterprise automatically downloads updates - including additions, changes and deletions - to its databases daily so you will always have access to the freshest possible database information.
